Aerial Yoga

Now for something a little different. If you’ve ever wondered what it might feel like to float, to hang suspended, to let gravity work with you rather than against you, aerial yoga is calling your name.
Using soft fabric hammocks, we explore movement in a whole new dimension. And before you worry that this is only for the super flexible or the fearlessly athletic, let me reassure you: aerial yoga is surprisingly accessible. The hammock supports your body weight, making many poses easier than they are on the ground. It’s playful, it’s joyful, and it offers one of the deepest spinal decompressions you’ll ever experience.
There’s something wonderfully childlike about swinging gently in a cocoon of fabric. It reminds us that movement can be fun, that we don’t always have to be so serious about our practice. Plus, the release you feel through your spine and hips after an aerial session? Absolutely delicious.
Wednesday Aerial Yoga – 7:35pm
End your Wednesday evening by quite literally letting go. This class focuses on decompression, core strength, and deep release, all while suspended in your hammock. It’s the perfect antidote to a day spent sitting at a desk or running around after everyone else.
We’ll explore poses that lengthen the spine, open the hips, and invite a sense of lightness into the body. There’s laughter in these classes. There’s also profound stillness when we settle into our final resting pose, wrapped gently in fabric like a cocoon.

Please arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in, and wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. For aerial yoga, fitted clothing works best so the fabric doesn’t get caught in the hammock.
