NOTE: Sometimes people forget that yoga about union, yes….but it is also possible to have fun whilst you seek enlightenment.

The only thing you really need is not a perfect practice or body, but a sense of humour and a willingness to make an arse of yourself (sometimes). Leave refreshed and relaxed.

7PM ASHTANGA £12

Ashtanga yoga practised in its correct sequential order, gradually leads the practitioner to rediscover his or her fullest potential on all levels of human consciousness – physical, psychological and spiritual. Through this practice of correct breathing (Ujjayi Pranayama), postures (asanas), and gazing point (driste), we gain control of the senses and a deep awareness of ourselves. By maintaining this discipline with regularity and devotion, one acquires steadiness of body and mind.

9.30AM THE ART OF FLOW- VINYASA £10

Lets mirror the beautiful surroundings of St Barbe’s art and artifacts, by connecting us to our inspiration. Includes music, each class is a themed play with mind and body, using vinyasa, hatha, yin and a pinch of spice and maybe some improv (only when you have no idea what everyone else is doing). The postures will be simple and accessible to everyone, but this does not mean that the practice will be easy; there will be some challenging moments. 7.30PM YIN YOGA £10 pre-booking required

In these classes we will discuss how to activate the parasympathetic and turn off the sympathetic systems; a critical component in our Western culture which is very yang-like: full of stress, burn-out and depletion. They will explore how to use yoga and our breath to turn off the stress and start to rest and recharge the body.
